My journey began in Turkey, where I entered the restaurant business at a young age. The experience taught me the fundamentals of hospitality, customer service, and business operations that would serve me throughout my career.

South Africa: Building an Empire (22 Years)

In 1998, I moved to South Africa with big dreams and determination. Over 22 years, I built a restaurant empire from the ground up. At its peak, I was managing 150 employees across multiple locations, handling everything from supply chain management to staff development, financial planning to customer experience. But life changed when my daughter was born. I made the difficult decision to step back from the restaurant industry to focus on family while exploring new opportunities.

The Manufacturing Pivot Never one to stay idle, I entered the double-glazing and switchable glass industry in South Africa. This venture taught me about manufacturing, supply chains, B2B sales, and partnership structures. The business grew successfully, and I brought on partners who continue to operate it today.

UK: The Next Chapter (2020-Present) In 2020, during the global pandemic, I brought my family to the UK. While others struggled, I saw opportunity. I worked in restaurants initially (doing what I knew best), but soon established Slick Installation and secured a Garolla franchise for garage doors in Reading. The franchise taught me about UK business systems, regulations, and market dynamics. Now, as my franchise contract ends in September 2024, I'm ready for the next evolution: sharing my hard-earned expertise with other ambitious entrepreneurs.

Why I Started Growth Fork At 57

I have three decades of battle-tested business experience across multiple industries and countries. I've made expensive mistakes, celebrated major victories, and learned invaluable lessons. I've seen too many talented entrepreneurs struggle unnecessarily with challenges I've already solved. Growth Fork exists to bridge that gap - to help Turkish and South African businesses succeed in the UK, to guide restaurant owners to profitability, and to share proven systems that actually work.
